ABOUT Roxanne Cullar
Roxanne Cullar is an independent journal about business, personal finance, insurance and loans. We explain how money decisions actually work, using plain language and verifiable sources.
Who we are
We are a small editorial team of writers and researchers who have spent years inside small companies, lending desks and insurance claims. Roxanne Cullar exists because too much financial content is either a sales pitch or a lecture. We write for owners, employees and households who want to understand a decision before they make it, without being talked down to.
Our mission
Clarity without hype. We publish free guides on Business Insights, Finance Tips, Insurance News, Loan Advice and Business Finance. Our aim is to answer one question properly, with the numbers and the trade-offs visible, rather than to publish ten thin articles that repeat the same advice.
Editorial standards
No paid placements, no hidden sponsorships and no affiliate links disguised as recommendations. We do not accept payment to rank a lender, insurer or software product. Where we mention a company as an example, we say why, and we do not let any subject approve a story before publication.
How we research
Each guide begins with a question a reader might actually ask, such as how much an emergency fund should hold or when refinancing pays off. We check current rules and rates against primary sources, read the contract language where it matters and test calculations with worked examples before we publish.
How we handle numbers
Rates, premiums and tax rules change by country and by year. We state the date of our research, use illustrative figures where a universal number would be misleading and link to official sources so you can confirm the current position. A calculation that is right in one market may be wrong in another.
How we fund the site
Readers keep us independent. We do not sell coverage, and no organisation can pay to change a conclusion. If we introduce advertising in future, it will be clearly labelled and kept separate from editorial decisions. When a cheaper option is better, we say so.
What we do not do
We do not provide personalised financial, legal, tax or insurance advice. We do not tell you which specific product to buy. We do not promise returns, and we do not pretend that a general guide can replace a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we correct it in public and note the change rather than quietly editing the page. If a factual claim cannot be verified, we remove it or say that it is disputed. Send corrections to contact us with the page URL and a source.
The team
Our contributors cover small business operations, household finance, insurance markets and commercial lending. Freelancers are paid for accepted work and credited on the story. An editor reviews every piece for accuracy, tone and conflicts of interest before it ships.
Talk to us
Questions, corrections or a story idea? Email contact us or use our contact page. We reply within one business day on weekdays, and reader questions shape a good part of what we cover next.
A note on AI
Every story is written and checked by a named human. We may use software for research assistance, spelling and image resizing, but never to invent a quote, a source or a first-hand observation. If that policy changes, we will say so at the top of the page.
